What are Atlas Coins?
Atlas Coins are the OpenMarkets play-money currency. They are how you paper trade: you place trades in Atlas Coins against OpenMarkets, and your balance updates as those practice trades settle.
Do I need to connect a venue or deposit money?
No. You can paper trade with Atlas Coins as soon as you sign up, with no deposit and no connected account. Connect a venue only when you are ready to trade for real.
Are the prices real?
Yes. A practice trade uses the same live, per-share price as the real market, so it behaves just like the real thing.
Do Atlas Coins have any cash value?
No. Atlas Coins are for practice only. They have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or converted to real money.
